Welcome!

New Updates:

2/5/06: Darkblade and Switchblade are getting a complete makeover to allow them to be lighter, stronger, faster, and even more destructive. No details are being leaked till motorama where they will make their debut.

11/30/05: New website design and setup. All the bots have been linked to one page for ease of navagation. To see them, go to the MY ROBOTS tab on the nav bar to the left or click here. Let me know what you think ;)

11/30/05: Wow a while has gone by and I havn't posted any updates. The new version of Switchblade with the titanium eggbeater was finished and competed in POP9, R3 Underground, HON, and the 2005 RFL Nationals. It took first place at POP9 and R3, third at HON, and second at Nationals putting it in 6th place on botrank. I will update the robot pages as soon as possible with new info and pics. Ripblade has now been built into a undercutter and my new 12lb bot darkblade is finished and has competed at R3 BBIQ winning 4 fights, loosing one, and forefitting the first because it was not ready in time. I have video I will post of some of its fights as well. Keep an eye out for the new bot pages.

4/23/05 : I brought the Team Sawzall Gotta Go sale on the NERC forum to home. Just opened is the Team Sawzall Garage Sale. Paypal, creditcard, and cash/check accepted. Check out what we got to offer here.

4/16/05 : Switchblade takes 3rd place at Upstate NY robot Battle and qualifies for the RFL nationals in October.

3/3/05 : User Abuser is close to being done. The bot is assembled but some minor things need to be done to completely make it battle ready.

2/21/05 : Just got back from Motorama 2005. Switchblade and Nightblade did absolutely great taking 2nd and 3rd place in the antweight division. Congrats to Angry Accountant who beat Nightblade in the finals to take 1st.

2/20/05 : I just got back from Motorama 05. Switchblade and Nightblade both placed in the antweight class. Longblade did not even make it to the arena. The new Beetle Ripblade should be much better interms of interference avoidance. In the antweight class the total wins/losses for both bots were 9:2 (9 wins & 2 losses) Switchblade took 3rd place overall and Nightblade took 2nd place overall loosing to Angry Accountant in the finals.

1/26/05 : Began building my new ant shell spinner User Abuser. Check it out here.

1/11/05 : Longblade has gone over some much needed upgrades. The weapon esc is now a C-30 Electrifly and the NIMH pack has been swapped out for a 11.1 volt 1900 mh Lipoly pack. More pictures and video will be up soon.

1/9/05 : Went to the Franklin Institute Museum in Pennsylvania to do a demo at their technology fair event. Special thanks goes out to Dan of sjrobotics.org for bringing the lexan and for the help setting up the arena. Also I would like to say thanks to all the staff at the museum for all their hospitality. We all had a great time and I cant wait to do this again next year. You guys are awsome!

12/15/04 : Nightblade's weapon has been upgraded to a EFl-4200 Brushless motor with more power and speed than the Speed 400 previously used.

Builder Bio: My name is Justin Mathews and I am a senior in high school. I have currently taken many engineering related courses and am currently active in the Technology Student Association or TSA club at my high school. We built a middleweight bot (120lb) named Roydrage and competed at the Battlebots IQ tournament in San Francisco where we took home third place. I am currently building antweight and beetleweight bots in my spare time and attending high school. I plan to be a Electrical Engineer when I graduate from college and build more bots on a larger scale.
